"Booster Fuels is an app-based service that delivers and pumps gas in office parking lots. The Burlingame, California-based startup partners with campus-based companies, commercial real estate owners, universities, and commercial fleets. It claims to serve tens of thousands of commuters working at more than 300 companies, including Cisco, Oracle, eBay, Pepsico, and Facebook."

According to American Automobile Association, Americans are paying less for gas today since a decade ago, with the national average dipping to just under two dollars. But this new company is changing the way how we gas up, by bringing the fuel to drivers, reports CBS News. "A grape-colored truck holds 1,200 gallons - 400 premium, 800 regular unleaded - and fills up cars for customers who work in the Dallas Fort Worth office parks", and the San Francisco Bay Area with a simple request on an app.

Booster Fuels is reported to have raised $32 million in investment funding, since it was founded in 2014. In addition to expanding to new markets, the startup will use the fresh injection of capital to increase sales and marketing and grow its team of 50.

History

Booster Fuels Inc. is a company that was founded by Frank Mycroft, Diego Netto and Tyler Raugh in 2014. With the idea in mind of eliminating the gas station errand for everyone. It started to offer "this service mostly in its home state of Texas." It has now expanded to California, where started working with the textbook service Chegg not very long ago. There, Booster served more than 65 percent of Chegg employees in a regular basis. On its busiest day, Booster filled up to 100 cars at Chegg.

According to cspdailynews "Within its first 18 months of business, Booster Fuels has delivered more than 3 million gallons of gasoline, both regular and premium grade, to customers in the San Francisco Bay and Dallas-Fort Worth suburbs.

In its first year 2015, Booster Fuels Inc. was noting $3.1 million funding round from top venture capital firms. By 2016 the company raised $9 million Series A funding round from the likes of Maveron, Madrona Venture Group, Version One Ventures and RRE Ventures. 3 For the purpose of expanding in the state of Texas and in Silicon Valley. Then by august 2017 had raised "$20 million in funding in a round led by Conversion Capital.

In mid-February of 2018 Booster Fuels started to offer "add-on services that you can get like a windshield wash, tire shine, wiper replacement ... as well as tire check and tire replacement."
